Do you really do this just like the whale tutorial?

Geo

Hi Y’all,
This one is made of a single cube, two small spheres(wingtips), guns, and engine flame.

The first pic shows the overall design best.
Second pic is in flight.

Here’s the second. This is actually a fairly low poly count model, if you don’t count the guns and wingtips.

George,
It’s similar to the whale tutorial. With this one, I took a cube and scaled it so that it was about half-size(default size) in heighth, and slightly more than half in width. Then I extruded a portion for the nose, raised the cockpit area, then smoothed the object. After that I extruded and scaled the wings till I got what I wanted.
I smoothed the body before adding wings so that I could get a more distinct set of angles on the wings. After creating/shaping the wings, I did not use smoothing because it would have given a rounded look instead of the angles.
Hope that answers the question….. <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>
