Will scripting be improved for version 6?

Meant to be:

I need to be able to write binary files.

Is this doable? If so, how? I need to write an exporter/importer that only has a strict binary format.

Will you still be using WSH and associated script languages?

I purchased the Pro version of 3dC so I could write scripts instead of getting a programming language to write plugins.

I need to be able to binary files.

If you were able to implement your own scripting engine, you’d not have the limitations of WSH and could allow users to even create plug-ins, the same way a programming language can.

I understand that this is large task, but I think it would improve the product greatly.

Thank you,

You may be able to talk to gakennedy about how he implemented binary read/write.

Sorry, version 6 will continue to use WSH for scripting.

As far as I know you can do everything with scripting that you can with plug-ins. The scripts just run slower, and are somtimes more akward to code. (for example using binary files is more involved with scripting, but still do-able)
