Wheel animation has a GǣhiccupGǥ

It was happening in 3DC, but is fixed now. I re animated it with 16 frames and it runs great now.

Have animated a 4-6-0 Loco with eight frames and everything looks good except that the piston ends of both main rods, and the left Piston group, GǣjumpGǥ between the seventh and eighth frame. The left rod piston end jumps up with it’s piston jumping Fwd, and the right rod jumps down but it’s piston does not jump. All three items immediately return to their normal position, and the whole thing happens so fast that it is sometimes difficult to detect. This only happens in GǣPlay Animation and is NOT seen when stepping through the cycle manually.

Any help greatly appreciated, Bill

Do you mean in 3DC, or in Rail Simulator? I reported this bug to the Rail Simulator guys, giving them examples showing it wasn’t a 3DC bug. I keep meaning to come up with a ‘work-around’, but haven’t had a chance yet.

I think someone here had a solution. Perhaps animating the rods NOT as a child of the wheels.
