What animation type is exported (spline or linear)

Can anyone recomend a good site that goes into (some) detail about this subject ?

Hi, long time no post, but I have a serious question:

Which type of animation is exported in .X files? – Is it [b:1017wws8]spline[/b:1017wws8] based or [b:1017wws8]linear?[/b:1017wws8] ???

I have a feeling it’s spline, as Dark Basic and Dark Basic Pro use linear, and the DB team are only just researching this and finding out about the other type, while trying to fix bugs which affect animations I send them jumping off keyframes.

Any help will be much appreciated <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>
Thanks

It is spline based. Are you sure that they don’t support it?

Richard

Thanks Richard,
At this time it’s not supported, except Lee (head programmer) said that it may be possible in the 3D Maths commands (which are really complicated if you ask me)

Anyhow, they are now going to implement support for spline based animations.
