Although probably not my final questions ever on this product, that just made a world of difference–right on the mark!!!
I wish that this information was a bit more readily available, as I’d been struggling with this for a day and even was trying to manually build a POV file (in a text editor) from the exported items; maybe it could go into the help file?
For the limited bit of usage I presently need to have for a project (very strictly being modeling pre-existing items for rendering), 3DC is presently working great! I hope to explore more of what the product can do sometime in the very near future.

Maybe this is obvious for one with more 3D software experience, but not for ‘this’ newbie:
I have imported a model into 3DC, added textures, lighting, etc., but cannot seem to get consistent POV-Ray rendering results from 3DC exports. What am I doing wrong/not doing correctly?
In particular, I notice that if I have a certain part of a model highlighted in the left panel (e.g. ‘Scene:Camera: Camera’) and select File:Export, I get a different render than I do if I instead have ‘Scene:Ambient’ (or (‘Scene:Directional#1’ or something else) selected in the scene. Is 3DC exporting only the highlighted part, by chance?
I discover the different results every time I click the ‘Run’ button in POV-Ray, which also shows different text/coding for each time I export something out (with something different highlighted) from 3DC, hence my hunch.
I need to have the entire model exported for POV-Ray rendering, and preferably from the vantage point as it appears within 3DC’ viewing area.

Hi Jon
The camera must be in animation mode.
To do this, right click in the perspective view and select camera/animation.
Point the camera at your scene and with nothing selected, export to Pov-Ray.
This should export the complete scene to Pov-Ray.
If you select a part or group, only that part or group will be exported to Pov-Ray.
Hope this helps
Regards
