V6 Rel3 Unrecoverable error

Thanks Richard. andnbsp;

We might have a andquot;Bingoandquot;. I had the 4.1.0.9 and had to change, it, CFS 3 didn’t like it and wouldn’t run. I believe the 4109 is andquot;WHQL certificate pendingandquot;. Try the 4072, you can always roll back the driver if it’s worse but so far it’s working for me. I’m using a P4 but everything else is close to the same.
If you try it let me know how it works, for reference.

What driver for your video card are you using ? Updating to the latest one might work……..

I’ve updated my Detonator in mid-January, and in the past, with the earlier versions of 3DC, I never had this problem.
3 times in 30 minutes of work… <!– s:( –><!– s:( –>

Bye.

Have you tried running in the andquot;RGB emulationandquot; mode – I know it is not the answer (and reduces some of 3DCs functions) but maybe if this works it would show that it is the hardware/driver side that is the problem ? (or not ?)

Hello il_barbudo,
andnbsp;I’m using a GForce 2 GTS/Pro with driver #4.0.7.2
The other drivers I’ve tried either wouldn’t work with games [because of andquot;signing pendingandquot;] or 3DC problems. So far this one is doing fine in both. I tried to reproduce your error and didn’t have any trouble.
andnbsp; What # is the Detonator driver?

Many times, when I move a single point or edge, I get an unrecoverable error (a number too long, see the attach).

When I relaunch 3DC and I use the recovery option, the operation seem done, so the error is after the operation.

My system is:
Celeron 800 – Windows XP HE SP1 – DirectX 9.0 – Geforce2 MX

Bye.

andnbsp;I know what you mean. There is a section on NVidia that lists they’re drivers and certifications
andnbsp;3DC used to recommend 2183, but it’s no longer available. [at least I couldn’t find it]
andnbsp; You’ve probably found it by now but here is the list-[img:287c22c0]http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=winxp-2k_archive[/img:287c22c0]

I did quite a bit of moving of points over the last day and didn’t have any problems with my ATI or NVIDIA video cards. It could be that it is drivers. If not, I suspect that it isn’t andquot;justandquot; point moving that is the problem. I would think that there is some other factor that triggers the problem. Before I do anymore, let’s wait and see if drivers improve things.

Thank you again! <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

You probably right, but I very hate this driver walzer.
Why in the hell they can’t insert the different drivers on a single page with a clear note: andquot;THIS IS CERTIFIED!andquot; and andquot;THIS IS NOT!andquot;?

Thank you again, I’ll try it.

Bye.

6.0 Rel3 error: Found this thread after I posted in the other andquot;errorandquot; thread about moving points… working fine… UNTIL I tried to perform an andquot;UNDOandquot;. Bam… error 91.

Don’t know if it helps…

XP-pro, Nvidia Gforce 4 Ti4600 with128M, Driver Version 4.072

I’ve done 2 complete projects in 5.7a with this configuration and not a single crash… on bothprojects, I did give point shifting and the andquot;undoandquot; option a workout.

This is fixed now with 6.0 Rev 4.

Richard

Are you running Rev 4?
