I reported that effect to Richard a short while ago and he reckons he has fixed it for the future.
(and I also forget to delete the translucency layer when I switch to a .bmp texture all too often)

On my current project I am using one bmp and one tga texture on the model. I am finding that the transparency map of the tga is also being applied to the bmp mapped portion of the model. I am still using 4.24.
I’ve noticed that when there’s a translucency layer selected that it’ll sometimes make my model temporarily appear transparent in places, usually only when I’m moving around the scene or something similar. andnbsp; It exports to .s and shows up fine in MSTS. andnbsp;I don’t worry about it too much <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>
That is an amazing looking caboose, by the way! andnbsp;
When a TGA is selected as a texture the translucency layer is also set. If you press the red X on the material pallette before selecting the BMP the translucency layer will also be reset.
