This appears to be an old thread but it happens to be of major interest to me. I apologize for bumping it, but I want to know, besides a bucket fill, how to do it and have it look good especially around elbows.
As it is now, I have to texture every face to get the effect I want. (I guess we all are. LOL)
Thanks,

All,
Anyone ever come up with an easy method to texture a pipe run ??? I’m not talking about using the basic flood fill – but – applying more detailed texture in a controlled manner… Now – most pipe runs change directions frequently – so I find it somewhat difficult to get a uniform texture mapping along the length of a run… Also – the texture I am trying to apply is darker on the bottom – which should always be on the lowest part of the pipe…
Any thoughts ???
Regards,
Scott

one of the things on my list for a plugin or a change to the pipe engineer.
It’s not simple – I usually just plaster a texture that is slightly different to the background over complex pipes so they show up.

Would you like to be able to print it out as a paper model?
