Suggestions Please

Sorry, I did get your email, just did not get around to replying. I will add a comment to the tutorial, and any future more advanced tutorials I might write. However the model created in the current tutorial has so few faces, it is a simple matter to paint each face, and I have not had any reported problems from the nearly 400 people who have downloaded it so far. I have had a small number of posts saying people have been successful. (about 3).

Hi everyone,

I am going to be creating an MSTS section on the Amabilis website. I thought I would create a gallery, provide links to MSTS sites using 3DC Pro, perhaps host tutorials etc.

If anyone has anything that they want to contribute please send it to <!– e –>msts@amabilis.com<!– e –>.

If anyone has any suggestions in particular please let me know.

A link to [img:1moroezb]http://www.trainsimfiles.com[/img:1moroezb]

where I am posting my models created in 3DC would be appreciated.

You are also welcome to download my very simple tutorial from there and mirror it on your site if you like,

Ian M.

P.S. here’s my latest model that I will be uploading soon.

Ian/Troub,

I’d really like it if both of you would contribute something (or multiple items-the more the better) since you are both doing neat stuff.

The address to send images to is <!– e –>msts@amabilis.com<!– e –>. Images should be 640×480 or higher and be in Windows bitmap (bmp) format. The MSTS gallery is at: [img:379imtp7]http://www.amabilis.com/gallerymsts.htm[/img:379imtp7]
<!– m –>http://www.amabilis.com/gallerymsts.htm<!– m –>
. That should give you an idea of what I have in mind. Links will be provided by clicking on the artists name.

I also will be linking to tutorials (and only tutorials) from the main MSTS page ([img:379imtp7]http://www.amabilis.com/MSTS.htm[/img:379imtp7]
<!– m –>http://www.amabilis.com/MSTS.htm<!– m –>
) and from the 3DC tutorials page ([img:379imtp7]http://www.amabilis.com/tutorials.htm[/img:379imtp7]
<!– m –>http://www.amabilis.com/tutorials.htm<!– m –>
)

Richard
PS Ian: did you receive my email regarding the fill issue with the tutorial?

I have information on objects I’m creating with 3DC at my website: [img:2idxloh6]http://www.geocities.com/troub80[/img:2idxloh6]
<!– m –>http://www.geocities.com/troub80<!– m –>
. It includes updates on my current project: a cupola caboose

Mike,

Yes, it was the period at the end of the sentance that was the problem. Thanks.

Unfortunately, many of the images were lost during the conversion to the new forums.

Richard

Richard, I notice that most of the image attachments have been deleted. Is there a policy on posting images now or were they regarded as time expired ? Sorry if I’ve missed a post elsewhere on this.

Richard, should [img:1vf3tffk]http://www.amabilis.com/gallerymsts.htm[/img:1vf3tffk]
<!– m –>http://www.amabilis.com/gallerymsts.htm<!– m –>
be working ? I get a 404 error, file not found.

Odd… it works from this post ::) is it your full stop at the end of the address ?
