Skeleton trubble too…

A couple of questions from me <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>

Is there a way to remove a shape from the bones group so it can be edited again?

Can I Enable/Disable all bones in a hierarchy at once? (or from a Script?)

(3DC 9.1)

Hi Paul,
I’m still using 7.1.2 <!– s:oops: –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_redface.gif" alt="" title="Embarrassed" /><!– s:oops: –> so I’m not sure how much things have changed.
In 7.1.2, if the skin/shape has been attached to the bones, when you select the skin/shape an option appears in the right hand tool bar to Enable/Disable bones for skin.
This allows you to make adjustements to the shape.
However if I remember correctly, when you Enable bones for skin again you have to re attach all the bones and you loose any animation. <!– s:cry: –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt="" title="Crying or Very Sad" /><!– s:cry: –>

Maybe things have changed with 9.1

Barrie

9.1 seems to handle bones quite differently to 7.1.2
There are fewer options for control.

Found it now – just select all bone shapes in the hierarchy (not the groups), then disable to detach the skin.

Yes, it is quite differerent. I think the same options are available, they are just in a different place. Alt-double-click is the easiest way to get to them. Like you would for a shape.
