Hopefully later on Richard will consider an in-built renderer within 3DC, even if it did increase the price, the results would be worth it. <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

This is the result of playing around with the auto smooth and trying to get ‘sharp edges’ – rendered in truespace.

and the 3dc shot.

Excellent design Alan! <!– s:D –><!– s:D –>

If I ever get the fixed wing ships off my brain, I will do some unusual designs..hehe maybe.

Hey Alan, I really like this one a lot. A very futuristic looking ship built for speed.

What version of Truespace did you use for the first rendered picture ?

I’m amazed at your ability to swap between programs for renders and your knowledge of both 3DC and other modelling programs.<!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

Thanks for the comments.

The render is from Truespace 6.6 – a program I hardly ever use now. All I do is model in 3dc and export the model (usually in *.obj format), import it into the render program and and press go.
I have tried to model in truespace and carrara but I just find 3dc easier and quicker so they have been delegated (sp?) to render engines 99% of the time <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>
