if the points are on a single object, hold down the ctrl key while selecting, then either shift using the right hand widget or use the shift operation button.
If you use the widget you can enter exact values using the operation history to change the values.
The lassoo tool on the right can also multi select points – you would need to look at the help text to find the key combinations.
