I usually use the .sd file of a similar object as a andquot;template,andquot; and change the necessary information (the .s file name, the bounding box info, and the name of the .sd file itself, etc.). Also, if you’re not familiar with the andquot;TechDocs,andquot; they’re located on Disc 1 of your TrainSim CD set (I think) in a folder called Techdocs. They’re Word documents in a self-extracting .zip file. There is a lot of information in these documents, including a document on how to write shape data (.sd) files. If you have a question about specific lines in the .sd files, you should look in this document first.

I have still problems with the shape file.

My Englisch are no so good by reading the doc.
I have read one of the read files, the second file give me a error.
I have a legall copy of MS Train.

My question are how get the information of the EDS_Bounding_Box.

this a the shape file of rebuild from andnbsp;Ianm andnbsp;8 planksWagon the 21 tonminerwagon.

E S D _ A l t e r n a t i v e _ T e x t u r e andnbsp; ( andnbsp; 0 andnbsp; )

andnbsp; andnbsp; andnbsp; S i z e andnbsp; ( andnbsp; 2 . 6 0 7 m andnbsp; 3 . 7 9 2 m andnbsp; 7 . 4 6 m andnbsp; )

andnbsp; andnbsp; andnbsp; E S D _ B o u n d i n g _ B o x andnbsp; ( andnbsp; – 1 . 4 3 4 andnbsp; 0 andnbsp; – 3 . 7 3 andnbsp; 1 . 4 3 4 andnbsp; 3 . 7 9 2 andnbsp; 3 . 7 3 andnbsp; )

)

Note that, like all the other ‘text’ files in MSTS, the .SD files are Unicode, so use Wordpad to edit them.

Lights on freight cars (usually for a Flashing Rear End Device, or FRED) are defined in the .wag file for the car. andnbsp;The .wag file is another required file for every MSTS freight car. andnbsp;The specifics are not really on topic for this forum, so I’ll refer you again to the TechDocs. andnbsp;You also should be able to find help for this sort of thing on the forums at [img:7o0t7xbt]http://www.train-sim.com[/img:7o0t7xbt]
