Thanks Paul, you lost me there, where in the RW docs is the information?
And you mean 3DC exporter not MAX surely.
I have had a test with 8.11a and trainglass.fx and with the normal exporter I get glass and with the NEW (advanced) exporter, I get a half poly of glass on the rear of a poly and no glass on the front out of a set of 7 windows.

Hi,
is it possible with 3DC to get these formulations?
With the shader TexDiff, I have need to plan ‘Scroll UVs’.
You see Attachment of 3DStudio.
Thanks for your collaboration.

Hello,
‘Scroll UVs’?
What is this for?

if using my exporter:
In the RailSimX field, put in:
r0scrolluvs=1;r0scrollu=20
Other r0 options:
r0Filtermode (0 to 4?) default 3
r0AnimateUV (0 or 1)
r0fps = frame per second
r0frames = number
r0miplodbias = 0 down to -4
r0arg0
r0arg1
r0arg2 etc – UV Arguments

Very interesting, do you have other options also?
I guess r0scrollv=20 would scroll vertically?

A few others, all starting with r0
zbias (default 0)
zbuffermode (0 to 4) – usually 1 or 3 for translucency
viewfacing (0, 1 or 2 – shader name sets this)
neverocclude (0 or 1)
specularpower (default is 1.0)
twosided (0 or 1) default 0
backfacecull (0 or 1) default 1

Is it documented elsewhere?

I was going to writing a plugin that would let you set these parameters without typing them but never finished it.
They should correspond more to the RS/RW documentation for modelling in 3DS.
Originally they only applied to my export plugin, but Richard has added them to the standard export plugin too for 8.1

Paul is the TrainGlass shader still using the r0 functions, and do you still need a coma instead of a point between the figures in ver 8.1.1a
What range of numbers can one actually use,
I know r0arg0 is 0 to 64 but what about r0arg1 and r0arg2
a plugin would actually be a damn helpful thing

I didn’t change much for the plugin so the comma is probably still needed.
The values are shader specific.
It might not use arg1 and 2 – you would need to check the RW docs (the max exporter calls the UV Arguments)
