Render button?

I have released a new version with this. It seems it has problems with the latest version of POVRay, but I’ll have that fixed shortly.

Its a long time since I used 3dc but I have recently installed 8.1rc pro.

My question is – where has the render button gone?

Also, I don’t seem to be able to get 3dc to show any shadows even though I have all the settings correct as far as I know.

Haven’t played with 8.x much yet… I believe it is still a work in progress… It’s been pretty quiet around here lately and we haven’t heard much from Richard on the subject… Popular opinion has us using 7.1.2.0 as the latest fully functional fully supported version…

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes, I thought maybe 8.1rc is not supposed to be usable but I read Richard’s announcement post where he says:

‘It’s a bit silly to have ‘Release Candidate’. If the documentation was done, I would just release this version as 3DC 8.1′

Maybe there is still some way to go.

One of the things I used to like about 3dc was the seamless integration with povray. Shame to see the render button has not been implemented in version 8.1.

Very soon. I haven’t got a schedule of the ‘return dates’ for things, but POVRay support and Rail Simualtor support are at the top of the list.

I nearly have the POVRay function working again. It should be available in a few days.
