Rail car centering problem

I’m in the same position as Bazza. Very nice model, but I have no idea as to the cause.

Have you posted to any of the train simulator forums? Someone has likely seen this before.

Just finished making a narrow gauge stock car and having a problem with its centering.
When running in MSTS the car buries itself forward half way into the tender in front of it and leaves an equal empty space between it and the next car. The same car, further back in the consist, has been reversed but still exhibits the same characteristics G it buries itself into the car in front of it and leaves a space behind it. See it in the attached screen shot.

The center appears to be in the correct position in 3DC, the bounding box appears to be OK in Shape Viewer, and a flipped second shape is centered over the first shape in Shape Viewer.

Have tried readjusting the center in 3DC and have reexported into MSTS but no change was noted.

Any help appreciated, Bill

ok is your car centred in 3DC correctly?
I think you need to look past the model and have a look at your blueprints

have a look at the collision length etc and see if they are right.
the length should be set at the length of yr wagon less the couplers, ie over head stock
and must be less than your pivot points. Send me the specs and a blueprint if ur stuck.

EDIT: Sorry missed the MSTS bit, same thing tho, have a look at your bounding box, I suspect that you may not even have one and what u see is the MSTS default being applied. Again if stuck, send me the files and I shall look at them

Sorry can’t help with your problem but really nice models and textures.
