When I select a face and then use the unwrap tool, the unwrap has the same dimensions as the texture (256×256/512×512 etc…) as shown here in the attachment.
Is it possible for the unwrap to have the same dimensions as the face unwrapped (so quadrilateral selected in the attachment’s sides would be to the same scale in the unwrap, not to the same scale as the square texture)? Because when I create a texture for it, it will be easier if the unwrap is to the right scale.

Thanks Richard, I had already seen that tutorial, but I re-read it and found out that it is possible to vertically enlarge/reduce the unwrap by shift clicking the enlarge/reduce button. So by judging the dimentions of the quadrilaterals in the viewer, it is possible to get the unwrap to the right dimentions.
