Purpley space ship

Thanks guys andnbsp;;D! Yeah, I picked the diamond and velour colours, because a plain grey ship isn’t all that exciting, and you never really see the colours used. When I completely create a model from scratch (I mean when I draw the references etc myself, and don’t us something existing), I usually put in out of the ordinary colours.

I’ve attached a view from a different angle. I changed the lighting, you were right, it was a bit dark.

Lol, I don’t know about this dilithium crystal. But from what I understand from chemistry, I thought that metals could not bond with themselves. So maybe it’s Li2P <!– s:D –><!– s:D –>

Hello! ;D I haven’t been here in a while, so I thought that I’d just post a render of my latest model. It’s a spaceship, something that I haven’t tried before, and it took me about four hours to do (I think I’m quite slow andnbsp;:)). How do you like it?

velour – [i:241s5sk3]n[/i:241s5sk3]

1. A closely napped fabric resembling velvet, used chiefly for clothing and upholstery.
2. A felt resembling velvet, used in making hats.

It reminds me of the material inside of eyeglass cases or engagement or wedding ring cases to protect against scratches.

As for the glass or diamond engine – maybe it’s made of andquot;dilithium crystalandquot;!?! andnbsp;;D

Hi, Dood3:

It might be my monitor, but the scene is rather dark.

The ship looks nice though. You may not have intended these features, but here’s what I see: The andquot;engineandquot; on the left looks like glass or a diamond – very nice effect! The main ship part looks like maroon velvet or velour – 2 textures you don’t find in space very much. Is that new technology? <!– s:) –><!– s:) –> Is the ship intended to carry many passengers? From the perspective of the scene, it looks like a large ship. But maybe with just the one bubble dome, it is a one-person ship.

I like the background the best. Nice job!

I also like the glass fx – maybe a few more shots from different angles ?

(no idea what velour is though)
