Hi Bazza,

Okay buddy, I can do that.

Okay, first attempt at showing off some of my efforts. This is a partially finished P-51D, hopefully I’ll be able to add the invasion livery for the 317th FG out of North Africa.

Final view for now.

Looking nice. <!– s:) –><!– s:) –> We don’t seem to have many aircraft modellers on the forum, so this is something different. I keep meaning to give it a try myself…. maybe one day.

Did you ever take a look here…

You need the 3D Model Gallery section for the aircraft, and everything is the work of just one person, models, textures the lot!! Amazing.
You can double click the thumbnails for a larger image.

Bazza

Thanks for the compliment.

Caffeine Overdose is a great site, I wish I had half the talent he does.

I’ve been an airplane enthusiast since I was a little fellow. I can remember when the T-33 was the F-80.. that dates me <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>.

Definitely not enough aircraft – I look forward to seeing the finished product.

I too have been keen to have a go, but getting all the cross sections right always worried me (I was going to write a plugin to help out)

I’ll stick with trains for the moment.

I use some 3 view drawings I found with the help of bazza and 3d buzz. they contain the cross section diagrams, but with a 3 view drawing, you can just use the side and top view and get the proportions right.

No railway items unfortunatly but lots of aircraft, ships and cars.

Thanks for that link, but I got it from the link to 3d Buzz you sent me. I appreciate it. <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

This is the second stage of my little project. I’m beginning to think it would have been easier to do just half the model and then clone it and mirror it.
