Problem with moving points

I’ve made some progress on this. I have found the function that is causing the problem, but it is pretty complex. I’ll provide a fix as soon as I can.

Richard

I want to retexture one of my models. To achieve this I have to divide some lines on the roof and shift the new created division-points along the z-axis. Every time I do this 3DC crashes exactly in the moment when I release the left mouse-key. I tried a lot to avoid this happening (shifting all points together, shifting only one point, waiting before releasing the mouse-button until there was no more activity of 3DC a.s.o.) but am at the end of my wits. It never happened to me andnbsp;and now I’m stuck.

I just had this happen to me after moving a model from 5.7a to 6.03.

Same results… andnbsp;Back to 5.7a for a while I guess.

If it’s a drivers problem then why should it work without a glitch with 5.7 but not with 6.03. Btw I’m using certified drivers,

Can you send me a sample model (<!– e –>support@amabilis.com<!– e –>) and describe what I need to do to reproduce it. Thanks.

Richard

Yes, today happened even to me, when I was moving 4 point but in the y axis (Unrecoverable error 0).
But because my drivers aren’t the certified version could be a driver problem.
Well, maybe…

Bye.

I did some experimenting with one model I still have in a version for 5.7. With the same model in 5.7 it’s no problem to divide a line at the roof and move the resulting points around in any direction. The same model in 6.03 makes trouble. I did excactly the same divided the same line on the roof section tried to move a point …boom crash. Contact amabilis support etc. As I’m in a bit of a hurry with this model I’d appreciate a reaction..

I’ve found the solution to this problem. It turned out to be something obscure, but I am surprised it wasn’t noticed earlier.

I hope to have a fix (Rev 4) out sometime next week.

Richard
