How do I change a pivot point so if I create a bogie it will turn properly in line with the main body

I think the pivot point is the axis, so its a matter of moving that relative to the object (the bogie).

Hope this makes sense, I have not got that far myself yet.

Try using the ‘shift selection’ option in the ‘object operation panel’. That’s what I’ve been doing. Relative to the MSTS world, the blue axis appears to point forwards; the red, right looking forward and Green is the vertical direction. This has worked for me so far.
