Newbie question please….

As soon as your mouse moves over the image it will revert to the 3DC rendered image. This is intentional to allow you to start modelling again after a andquot;test renderandquot;.

Richard

Hello all….
I am just beginning my experiments with both 3DC and Pov. so.. My first question about using POV with 3DC is this…..I’ll make a model, and click on the pov icon on the top main tool bar, ( the one at the top) and it will render a picture of the model, but as soon as the pic is done rendering it dissappears. I will see it for a flash of a second, then its gone. Now….has it been saved in POV? Or somewhere in 3DC? The render shows for a split secind, then goes back to the model scene in 3DC. I know I can take a snapshot, but this is very slow, and takes a very, very long time to complete. I just want to andquot;previewandquot; my raytraced model before I decide to take a snapshot to save. Like I said, I am very new to raytracing, so I am sure the settings I keep playing with are slowing down the snapshot. But I need to be able to preview my model so I can see what the different settings do to the scene. Any chance someone can help me here?And if its not too much trouble…what affect does anti-aliasing have on rendering a scene. It seems that when I click anti-aliasing on a render of a model, it really boggs the system down. Thats ok with me but what exactly does this do or what affect am I actually asking it to do here? andnbsp;

Yes…I know about that feature Richard. This was different. As soon as the test render was complete, it went straight back to the modeling scene. I was playing with it again today, it seemed to work fine, not sure what happened. I’m going to keep playing and I’ll let you know if there’s anymore problems.
