New Version Available

Hello all,

A new version of 3DC Pro is now available that includes an update to the Microsoft Train Simulator export.

This feature is now a SUPPORTED feature and will officially be part of 3DC Pro 4.2. Please note that this version REQUIRES 3DC Pro registration. If you are using the previous version you are welcome to continue using it. It will not expire.

There are many improvements to this version including:

o) Multiple textures per object

o) Multi-part objects

o) Animation (this has to be considered andquot;experimentalandquot; since it has not yet been fully tested. Testing this requires creation of an engine which is something I don’t currently have time for.)

I don’t see any reason why engines can’t be made with 3DC Pro now. Please remember there are many required steps to making an engine for MSTS so make sure you read the MSTS technical documentation.

One more thing.

Before spending a lot of time creating an engine it might be wise to create a simple dummy engine out of primitives to ensure that there aren’t any issues. It shouldn’t be a problem, but you never know. This is something I’d like to check out myself, but I simply don’t have time right now.

Richard,

This sounds almost too good to be true. In any event, thanks! Let me get my download started so I can register my version and get to work as soon as possible.

One more thing I should mention. Before registering 3DC Pro try out the free version to make sure it works on your computer and, that you like it. No point in buying something that doesn’t work for you.
