New forum requests

Is this a game related question ? On the andquot;General Forumandquot; ? andnbsp;

Oh dear – just checked on your website and seen that you are a DB – so I am not sure if I can talk to you….. andnbsp;

I got into 3dc when Santa brought me blitz3d – (leave it!) – and my intention was to produce some 3d games.
But most of my andquot;computer timeandquot; has been on 3dc since ! The games have stopped – well paused.

I have looked at md2 but not too much – although one of my game ideas is for a andquot;Dandamp;Dandquot; type of game that would require humanish characters – it has not been a priority.

But I will have it mastered in andquot;two weeksandquot; andnbsp;

Lets take this over to the andquot;Games forumandquot; and I am sure you can teach me about character modelling.. andnbsp;

I’ve been thinking – going to stop soon, andquot;it hurts…make it stopandquot;.

How about a andquot;couple of new top level forumsandquot; – is that the right term ?

One could be for andquot;newbiesandquot; – a andquot;how do I ?andquot; that some of the older hands could answer – I am sure there are a lot of people out there who could help us out.
Might give Richard a bit more time to get version 6 out (maybe even ban Richard in case we are talking rubbish….)

Another could be for andquot;povrayandquot; – Richard answered one of my earlier questions about andquot;what do you do with 3dc ?andquot; by saying it was mainly train simmers and then povrayers -if they (er -we (I will include myself here as I have tried povray, I don’t know what I am doing with it 99% of the time <!– s:( –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt="" title="Sad" /><!– s:( –>, but I have tried it)) are the second biggest usergroup then don’t they get a forum – or maybe they/ are too independent ? I know I would like some help with povray.

And maybe one for game models – this is why I got 3dc. Where we can shout things like andquot;Blitz is better than Db!andquot;, andquot;No! Db is better than Blitz!andquot; and then compare notes ?

Oh well….just a thought…….
