Hi:
I am making a decision of whether to buy 3DC Pro 7.1.1.2. I see that this is the ‘up-to-date’ version without having to go to the Version 8 which I believe is still a Beta version.
Do I also need to install this for the above version?

Should I also install the plugins, models and textures? or will these already be installed?
I am using a new laptop with Windows Premium 7, and do believe it has DirectX version 10.
Also, am I to expect error codes as seen in the Support Section and Forum?
Lastly, any suggestions, beside ‘have fun’?
Hi Larry,
Welcome to 3DC – I’m no expert but I believe that add-in is strictly for upgrading existing models created with older versions of the software…
So far – I’ve only built models for MSTS… I have tried GMAX and TSM – couldn’t really get into them… I hit the ground running once I found 3DC…
To the best of my knowledge – you’re right – and 8 isn’t ready for prime time yet…
I don’t have 7 yet…
Best of luck…
Regards,
Scott
