as I said before – objects only. This function is usually only used if the object is modified.
There is no way to save script operations for groups.
Does copy and paste not work for skeletons with animations ?

Layers are only for objects – you need to apply the WriteScriptOperationLayer to all objects that the script has modified.

This is for AASCO Project
Explanation
AASCO Project is a script named ‘Animation Analizer’. This script Analize Animation of Orientation And/or position in time of groups of an active hierachy; and write automaticly a animation script.
If you place same skeleton in a other scene and Select the same hierachy And run the automatcly written script it will reproduce the same animation but this can be done a infinite times so you can even create a large video sequence and
Result: Less work on the creation of animtions
