Nasty Driver Issue

Thanks All- maybe I’ll try the 4109- it just won’t run the flight sim.-just have to switch back and forth if it’s an improvement.

I get all kinds of errors- no matter what driver I’m using. I know others are tired of playing musical drivers also, haven’t heard from them lately- don’t know if they solved it or just gave up.

andnbsp;Richard-
andnbsp; You seem to have success with your NVidia card-which driver are you using? Is it neccessary to switch drivers for different applications?

Sony 1.8G-512ram-NVidia GForce 2 GTS 32MB

SharkNose-
andnbsp;Sounds like a good project- don’t forget to post your progress.[ maybe a virtual tour!]
andnbsp; Thanks for the response on the driver- lap tops are different drivers andamp; cards [as far as I know]. Les has pointed out part of the problem may have to be approached via POV-Ray.
andnbsp;Thanks, KB.

I had to vote for andquot;otherandquot;. I expected to see one of the drivers listed above, but my card properties and DXDIAG both report version 6.13.10.1640 (the possibility exists that I don’t know what I’m doing). I’m running Windows XP Home on a Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop – the video card is a NVidia GEForce2 Go 32Mb.

I’m still running 3DC Pro 5.7a and have had no video related problems with it. I’ve tried 3DC 6.03 a little bit and also have had no problems.

I’ve been lurking around. I got away from 3DC for awhile, but I’m in the process of buying a house and am itching to get in it with my tape measure and create a 3D model of it! andnbsp;:)

Thanks! [ haven’t seen you in awhile]

I’m at work now, but I use an NVidia at home on my laptop. As soon as I get home, I’ll check the driver version and respond to your poll.

4109 with win me – no real problems here….

From tha staggering response I’ll conclude that only 3 out of 1/2 million use NVidia cards.
