material palette _ Flat Wrap (Resolved)

I thought changing boolean operations made sense. Having two shapes selected seemed to fit better. But, I think it is nore like ‘six of one, half dozen of another’.

On the latest version and the one before, the Flat wrap on the material palette seems to be broken. If you select a texture and crop a part you want the Flat wrap will still show and apply the complete texture.
Cylindrical and spherical seem to be fine, if you use either the cropped texture appears on the palette and is applied as such. Moment you go back to Flat wrap the whole texture is shown and used again.

Just a guess, but can you right-click on ‘flat wrap’ and see if you have ‘Size to fit’ selected? If it isn’t 3DC ignores the cropping.

ok thanks that was the problem, I never even knew those options was available.
Also when I join two objects I lose the textures, is that correct ?

[span class=’ev_code_RED’]Ok as a correction to above I found I was in fact using the Union function and not the Merge[/span]

I assumed Merge was still at the top like in 7.1.2
Is it not better to be able to select one object then the function then the second object??
