Loco will not load in the Sim

Sorry I meant to reply yesterday to send the S file over for me to look at.

Was it too many groups? The number of objects shouldn’t matter.

You can just drag objects into groups – they get merged together in the export process.

Am building a 4-6-0 and everything has been working great until I added the boiler. It now looks great in Shape Viewer but will no longer load in MSTS and does not show a thumbnail in Consist Editor.

Am buildingin modules and have tested each in the Sim before proceeding. First built the frame and drivers, then added the cylinders and rods and did all animation, and then added the cab. It was tested in the Sim after completion of each of these stages and ran perfectly each time.

After adding the boiler module (complete with domes, stack, walks,Etc.) it looked great in Shape Viewer but would not load in the Sim. Deleted this boiler and made a completely new boiler with only the boiler sections, firebox, and the bands between the boiler sections, and tried again, but had the same results G it looked good in SV but did not load in the Sim.

Now it gets strange. I then deleted the bands and tried again. This time it looked good in SV and did load in the Sim but the boiler was not visible.

Any ideas of what is going on and how to fix it?

Using 3DC Pro 7.1.2.0

Thanks in advance for any help, Bill

Received the solution from another forum.

Apparently the shape count became too high and merging shapes solved the problem. The model, with the new boiler, now loads in the Sim.
