Anyone know how I can make a lighted number board for my locomotive… I know you can change the material settings – but what numbers should I use ??? Secondly – I only want the numbers to glow – not the entire shape that the numbers are textured on… Any ideas ???

Just spotted this question….not sure if you’re still looking for an answer, but I’ll offer one anyway.
Add an extra face immediately behind the surface of the number panel. Texture the outer face with a translucent texture, the background being the base colour of the background (non-glowing)…..and put the numbers/lettering on the translucency mask…..effectively creating something that looks like a stencil!
Texture the face immediately behind the "stencilled" face in a bright glow-in-the-dark texture……..and you have illuminated panels!
