Italian coaches

Hi to everyone

I am an Italian user; I have realized some models for Msts with Train Sim Modeler and now i am trying to convert and improve my models for Rail Simulator with 3DC; Now I am working at this:

I have a big problem with all my shapes: when i move away the textures appears bad :

Hi,
when I export the carriage for RS, with the Train Simulator Wizard, the value [b:3nod22mo]MipLodBias[/b:3nod22mo] is 0, it has to be -2 instead. And’ possible [b:3nod22mo]MipLodBias[/b:3nod22mo] to implement the choice of the value in 3DC? Is it possible to implement the choice of the [b:3nod22mo]Shader[/b:3nod22mo] in a men+- besides?
Thanks for the collaboration

Hi, i am the author of the coaches; I Would like to know if the property MipMapLodBias for the Rail Simulator plug-in will be implemented in the next versions of 3DC; we need it absolutely for the development of any object or rolling stock in Rail Simulator; without the MipMapLodBias all the objects that we export have the same problem: the textures look good only if you are near the object.
I hope in that this problem will be considerated.

Thank you for the answers!

Pasquale? Alex656? Are you the same person? Never mind… Did you mean: [img:2cg3w6zq]http&#58;//forums&#46;uktrainsim&#46;com/viewtopic&#46;php?f=219andt=86025andp=0ande=0andsid=e6f58cb1d39fe991f5b1b2cf3adde1cb[/img:2cg3w6zq]

I am Alessandro Galimi alias Alex656; Pasquale is Pasquale Nicolardi.
I am very disappointed because i must correct this parameter manually every time that i compile.

Hi Vlado, we am 2 Italian boys that try to realize addon for Rail Simulator.
We have inserted the question around 2 months ago, but we have not received ever answered by the technical support of the amabilis <!– s:( –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!– s:( –>

For now i solved the problem by modifying manually the GeoPcDx; i have found the tag MipLodBias and this is the setting:
andlt;MipLodBiasandgt;
andlt;e d:type=’sFloat32′ d:alt_encoding=’0000000000000000′ d:Precision=’string’andgt;-2.0000andlt;/eandgt;
andlt;/MipLodBiasandgt;

Do you mean on every place where this occurs? I saw this occurs at many places. And what about
andlt;LightGlowFadeDistance d:type=’sFloat32′ d:alt_encoding=’0000000000000000′ d:Precision=’string’andgt;0.0000andlt;/LightGlowFadeDistanceandgt;

Is it important to?

Finally guys, I hope that someone will tell something to help resolve this really big problem. It may be repaired in the next version of 3DC.

Hi Vlado, not on every place!!
You must find first the texture that you want to modify and so you have to search the tag MIPLODBIAS for that texture (you find it below!)
I’m sorry for my english but i hope that my explanation is clear.

Yes, I solved the problem, but it is not like in RS. In RS models it looks much better – more softly between levels. With them it appears gradual.

Manuall adjustabing is not the solution. When you make a package, the problem remains as in the beginning. Therefore each user who download the file must adjust it manually. It’s not clear to me why are we ignored because this problem is really big. Will someone deign please offer the right solution? I AM SO FRUSTRATED ABOUT THAT !!!

Hi Vlado
Don’t expect to get any answers in this Rail Sim forum on the use of 3DC.I think Richard has given up on this section of the forum.Tis kind of sad as in the begining 3DC was going to support Rail Sim.I have been trying for quite awhile to find some answers using the TrainViewfacingFlora shader and trying to get it to work in 3DC. I guess we are going to have to chuck 3DC and save our pennies for 3dmax.At least you will be able to get some answers from Rail Sim

Hi Vlado and Retired, this is serious indeed, but above all it is sad not to have answered from Richard. <!– s:( –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!– s:( –>
