Import Trainworks ia animation file

I am using 3DC 7.1.2

There is an import option to import Trainworks Rail Simulator Intermediary Animation Format (.ia)

I have a 3DC scene open with the model (.igs) associated with the ia file already imported.

When I try to import the .ia file, 3DC locks up and has to be terminated using the Task Manager.

How do you successfully import an ia file?

You’re doing it the right way. I’ve successfully imported a number of .igs files and the associated .ia files from 3ds Max and Blender. I’ve occasionally gotten a message from 3DC 7.1.2 saying that a group associated with the .ia isn’t found and the .ia fails to import, but I’ve not had a crash when importing. Sorry I can’t be of much help. I’d suggest double checking the model that you’re exporting for anything that may be out of the ordinary.
