Hi there!
First of all I have to introduce myself to you. I’m new to this board but not new to 3DC. I’m using the software for about 2 years now. Well not regualray, not even very often I have to admit.
By the release of version 6 I started to use 3DC more often again as you might assume. I like 3DC very much an purcased the update recently. In my opinion this piece of software has already reached a very high level considering it to be meant for non professional use.

I actually don’t know if there is any existing wishlist for users to tell the programmers what they would like to have in future releases. If there is non why not starting one? An if there is one, please forgive me this thread. :
If I’m allowed to ad an entry to this list (maybe the first one) let me start with the only one thing that really bothers me since I know 3DC – the way it ‘eats’ resources.
3DC takes quite a long time to launch an if it is ready the GUI on its own ‘washes out’ a very big amount of memory, without any scene loaded or object created. This turns out to reduce the max size of a scene one could create very much and causes 3DC to become very slow if one tries to do something of a bit more complicated design.
Long speech short sense: I would wish to have a more optimized GUI, a less memory consuming one in a future release.
Yes I know, I could add more memory to my machine and I will do so soon (256MB -] 512MB). But there might be people not having enough money remaining to upgrade their computers. Those should not be left alone.
And if this was done I would like to have andquot;hairandquot; as an additional feature. <!– s:D –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt="

Yeah, that was the forum I was missing! I do understand that you have other priorities at present. Anyway, it’s good to read that you still have open ears and eyes for user’s needs.
3DC conviced me amongst a variety of similar software. The support was one major item in this process.
So I’m looking forward to suggestions forum’s reopening. Thank’s for your answer!

Normally there is a andquot;wish listandquot; (suggestions forum). But since 6.0 just came out, I am not even entertaining any new enhancements for a while. But, I’ll move your post to the andquot;suggestionsandquot; forums when it re-opens.
