Hey,

This program is the bomb, I am sending my money soon,

one question

when I take a cube and extrude it to make a bigger box say a building say 15′ by 22′ (converted to meters of course) it shows several faces on one side – so using the paint option it looks messed up, how do you combine these faces so the texture does not look like patchwork?

Jason,
I have the Pro option. In the Pro version I use the scale option to make a larger box. Also in the Pro version there is UV mapping to get the texture wrapping desired . There is also a face reduction option in the Pro version.

However, in the basic version I think you can select the cube and an axis will appear in the right hand corner. Selecting one of the grayed areas of the axis will allow scaling without the additional faces. Use the orthographic views to get the desired size.

Richard,
Is there a way to get an extrusion larger than 10 meters? I like to model as if using a single piece of clay. I know I can do extrusions on top of extrusion but I do not know how to eliminate the edges between face extrusion in the same plane so that the result is one face. I do not like using the polygon reduction tool since it often changes the shape of the object.

It would also be nice to know the dimensions of a particular face. Currently your properties method only provides this information for the whole object.
