Thanks Scott,
The old versions of 3DC I used would accept a translucency of ‘1’ – that is where I was going wrong. Works fine now.

I have been using 3DC for some years now, but have not made a model for some time now. I recently upgraded to v6.6 and imported one of my old models to re-texture it. That all worked fine, but when I came to export it to MSTS, there no longer appears to be a MSTS export on the Export menu.
I therefore used the Tools/Train Simulator Wizard, but although this exported the model OK (an engine shed), the transparency for the windows has disappeared.
Any ideas/suggestions?
Mike.
Hi Mike…
Hmm – I believe I am using 6.6… To export I usually select a major piece of the frame contained just under the top most group… After selecting the part – I right click – and – I have a number of different formats to export too… MSTS is one of them…
The texture ‘translucency’ needs to be set to ‘2’ – the ACE can be no bigger than 512×512 -and double check your ‘alpha’ channels on the texture…
Hope this helps…
Regards,
Scott
