The grid will be the ground plane [b:k5qdastx]only if[/b:k5qdastx] the Y coordinate (vertical) of the main group is zero.
If your main group is +1m, the model will sink into the ground by 1m.

When I build a model in 3DC, the checkerboard plane is my ground plane. When I export the model into KRS, will that ground plane remain the same, or must I change my ground refrence?
In Trainz, the ground plane is the same as the grid plane in gmax–no adjustments, needed.
I don’t as yet have KRS but would like to know the situation in advance.
Thanks for whatever help is given.
