I use multiple graphics packages, and the only common thread is JPG format. How do I accomplish this?
Hi John,
I\’m sorry – haven\’t a clue what your asking… I use 3DC to make models and shapes – I use Paint Shop Pro to make all the textures for the models and just map them in 3DC… PSP makes the textures in any format I want… Sorry – confused…

Ok.. I want to go from 3DC to Paint Shop Pro…. Or embroidery software, but lets start with PSP….
What format should I use?
John
Hi John,
Right – I guess it partly depends on what your end product is going to be used for… I model for both MSFS and MSTS… I use PSP to create my textures in one of two formats BMP or TGA… The BMP I would believe would be preferred over a JPG because from what I understand JPG’s induce a great deal of loss in image quality… I use TGA’s specifically for those textures that require “transparency or translucency” because the TGA’s support Alpha Channels… Once the textures are created – I just add them to the pallet in 3DC and apply them to my shapes… I’m not sure I’m fully answering your question – but – I’m trying…
🙂
