The problem with ‘blacked out’ items is, I think, related to running 3DC with Windows XP. I have an idea of how to fix it. But, it will take some experimentation.
The Rail Simulator export problem might be due to a change in how exports work in 3DC 8. It’s now necessary to select the entire hierarchy of what you want to export. You do this by holding down the ‘a’ key when you select the ‘main’ part of the model.
When I try to export a simple object with the RW IGS exporter I get an empty IGS file. I also notice that the various LOD options are blacked out – see attachment. Something must be wrong, but I don’t know how to fix it. I am using version 8.1.1340
Hello There, I read your note with Interest I have a similar problem. whenever I try to generate an *.igs file it is either not there or it is faulty. I read a note on the forum this morning which mentioned that you should load RGSIGS.DLL and Stepmaker.DLLandgt; I checked on mt machine and cannot find these files.
