Hi All,
Here’s the latest Delta Class Capital Ship built by Earth Force’s number one supplier of superb capital fighting ships, the Omega Corperation. Textured with a few textures I found on the web.

The Excalibur, inspired by the Excalibur of the Crusade SciFi series on TV, can host a crew of up to 6500, and house 8 fighter squadrons, as well as fighter support craft, and 10 Corvette sized gunships.

Powered by the latest in Ion Propulsion sytems, and equipped with Omega’s newest and most powerful Jump Drive Engines.

The Excalibur is also equipped with the new 10 million mega jewell Pulse Partical Laser Cannon designed and built by the Oltran Weapons Facility on Saentaas 5.

All things combined the Excalibur can go anywhere, get there faster, and deliver her fire power, as well as that of her fighter and corvette wing, with lightning speed and accuracy.

If you are a fighter pilot, corvette gunship crew, or one of the 6500 crewmembers attached to a ship like the Excalibur, you know you are at the top of the heap.

Harold your models are cool too. andnbsp;I’ve seen a few great ones. andnbsp;

Les whats the poly count on that?

Very good work.It looks great. You always inspire me to do better.
Harold

Nice Les ! andnbsp;;D
Do you still have your mini tutorial on building a basic ship? I’m sure some would like to give it a try, [ heck, I’d like to do it again] It’s a good ice breaker to see the possibilities.
andnbsp;KB

BTW- Thanks for the hint on POV, I’m getting closer! 8)

Great Model Les.

Fantastic — as usual from you! andnbsp;;D

If possible, it would be nice to see a fleet
action sometimes…? andnbsp;;)

Hi Les,

Luv the textures on this one. Were they free? I have been looking for panel textures for awhile. Things like riveted metal panels, ( for my P-51 ) and segmented like those on your ship. Great model.

Thanks for the kudos guys. ;D
I’ve seen many great models come out of 3DC that some of you have done since I started. Lots of talented folks around here.

Harold, Most of your models that I’ve seen look absolutely great too. Glad I can be an inspiration to anyone.

Markku, A fleet action will probably take me a while with my new job, but I’ll try.

KB, I no longer have the tutorial, sorry, but the last crash took care of that.

Athas, I haven’t even looked at the poly count on this one……kinda afraid to……LOL. It’s a pretty complex model to me, lots of extras on it.

Thanks again everyone, and keep up the great work, all of you. Also, I still need ideas for other types/styles of capital ships so anyone with ideas speak up…….LOL

Les

blaydrnnnr,
Thanks guy… ;D andnbsp; All the textures on Excalibur are from 3DCafe.com and I believe there were like one or maybe two rivet textures in the free section there.

doodler,
Thanks…. ;D andnbsp;I’ve been looking around for more metallic textures but so far haven’t found any but these that suit my purpose. If anyone runs across any great free textures be sure to post a link? Thanks again.

Les

Les, I think this is your best ship yet. Great Texture.

Hello blaydrnnnr,

I haven’t really looked deep into this one, but you could
take a look at GRSites.com, if you like.I must have a good look around myself, ’cause I need them, lots.

Hello KB, small but still cool ;D, it would great if we could get some more animation in.

Is there any one else messin’ around with animation
using ‘3DC. ;D

later, Jay
