Error #91 on startup

Iknow this is dangerous but

My 2cents worth.

My System:
Windows7 Ultimate Service Pack 1
Intel Core i7 cpu 860 @2.8 GHZ with turbo boost to 3.6 Ghz
16GB Memory
64 Bit OS on 120GB SSD. More than 3TB extra storage.

After quite a few hours trying to get Version 9.1.1 Build 1264 to work on my system this is what works for me.

First of all I had version 9.1 build 1405 installed and it worked with no problem. When I doubled clicked on the .exe file (Not using shortcut) the program went straight to running up. Not asking for UAC permission.

Next I deleted version 9.1 cleared the register and installed version 9.1.1 build 1264. When I went to the .exe file the program then asked for UAC permission. After saying yes the program went to the splash screen and stayed at loading. I then went into the CONTROL PANEL and changed the User account Setting to NEVER NOTIFY, restarted computer, double clicked the .exe file and wa la it worked.

My question is why did version 9.1.1 ask for UAC and version 9.1 did not. In the description of never notify it mentions certification to work with Windows 7. Is 9.1 certified and 9.1.1 not. Changing the UAC settings on the .exe file when right clicking had no effect. The only way I could get it to run was changing the UAC setting in the Control Panel to NEVER NOTIFY .

This is what worked for me. Hope it helps.

Hi.
I came across this problem and googled it. It brought me here. The admin says it should be fixed for 9.1.1, but it isn’t. I’m running build 1256. Did he fix it before this build but now it’s back in this one?

Go into MSCONFIG, disable UAC, then reboot. It worked for me.

Also, I just released a new version that should work with UAC on.

I’m updating this to “resolved”. I really think it is.
