DirectX 9

Installed it, so far no problems. No noticable encrease in speed, on the contrary on some occasions I got the impression there is a slight slowing down tendency.
Everything runs stable. Maybe we’ll only see the benefits when programmers make use of the new features.

FYI, DirectX 9 appears to have been officially released:

If you decide to install it, please inform us about your experience–any increase/decrease in speed, stability, etc.?

Thanks.

I’m downloading the SDK as we speak (all 222 MBs of it).

I know some people are using it with 3DC and I tried the Beta a while back. But I’ll be curious to here the reports also (obviously).

My biggest hope andnbsp;would be Microsoft/Kuju in direction of a far better Trainsim.
3DC works reasonably well but nobody said anything against improvements.

Would that be directed at me? andnbsp;:)
