An odd one for me – it has textures <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>
Modeled in 3dc textured and left hand side render in zbrush. The texture is not finished some areas inside the mouth are still not done <!– s:) –><!– s:) –> I intended to import this back into 3dc and tto add a bumpmap…but I am having problems doing that so I’ll call it a night.
Any and all comments welcome.

Very cool!

I’d like to see more views of the 3DC version(and a little bit bigger). <!– s:D –><!– s:D –>

Excellent work! I am very impressed with how you’ve caught on with auto-smoothing! I am also very anxious to start trying to learn the same…( hopefully! ) Luv the Zbrush as well, would like to know more about it. I am waiting on the latest version of the beta to download and start playing with the auto-smooth myself. <!– s:D –><!– s:D –> Question, have you been starting with a cube, extruded many times, sort of like block modelling, then using auto-smooth? Very impressed Alan. Great stuff.

as requested…

and…

Deckard sorry Blayd, <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

Yep, I start with a basic cube turn on autosmooth (level 2) and start extruding, often I will commit (at level 1) than turn on auto smooth again (at level 1) to push the faces around a bit more.

You might be interested to know I have stsrted a ‘tutorial’ (also know as ‘thing I’ve found out this last couple of month’) which might help…. Basically it is just a group of simple ‘ways to do thing’ grouped together….
soon…

and just for fun…
the one on the left weighs in (triangulated) at 52480 faces – the one on the right has been run through 3dc reduce faces option and now has 35680 faces, not to bad a saving ? I could of reduced it more but it was just a quick experiment and an excuse to put up a couple of more shots <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

just thought I would push the reduction a bit and came up with this 9570 faces (blue model)

Looks fantastic ALan. Good work. <!– s:) –><!– s:) –>

wow! That much reduction and its barely noticable. Very, very cool. Well, as soon as beta 3 is available, I’ll download and see if I cant start getting the hang of this. Great work Alan and keep ’em coming!
