Dimensions?

The scale in MSTS is 1:1 and the units are meters. andnbsp;3DC has default units of meters. andnbsp; If you have a scale drawings in metric units those dimensions can be used directly in 3DC and your model will appear correctly in MSTS. andnbsp;I think Richard supports English units as well depending on the software version.
If you have model trains and take measurements from those objects, those dimensions must be adjusted for the scale of the model (N 1:160 / HO 1:87) and converted to meters to get the right proportions in MSTS.

Hello,
I’m at the andquot;stumble around stageandquot; in 3-DC and needed a purpose for the modeling, so I ordered MSTS. Airborn delivered it to some one a week ago, but not me.
In the meantime, is there a basic train model I can use the dimensions off of ? I have been doing the tutorials, here, but if I build a boxcar How do I get the right scale ? Some of the models on the front page don’t seem to be connected.
andnbsp; andnbsp;

Thanks much, MRRextreme, KB
