#DC Pro won’t run

Fixed it…I purchased the 7.1 upgrade and everything is working.
Thanks for your help

Purchased Pro verion around 12/21/2005

Recently changed OS from XP Pro to XP Home Media Center (avoiding Vista like the plague). There’s no ‘upgrade’ path so I had to reinstall everything.

Re-installed 3DC Pro using installation files saved from last working install using Keyed in license number, but it didn’t seem to take it. I had to cancel out of the window. Opened the program again, and despite the fact that it said ‘free version’ license number now appears in ******.

Tried same thing with earlier 6.x version files. That bombs while starting with unrecoverable error.

Also tried installing latest free version. Keyed in license number, etc. I downloaded latest upgrader file and installed that. No change.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

After reading through some mesaages on the forum, found out where the log file is….Last install was Version 6.6.5

Last entry in log says…
‘Error #: 3078 Error Description: The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query ‘Properties’. Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly. Error Location: 3DC – New Scene’

I know I installed some program recently that installed Microsoft Jet, could this be the issue?

I was able to find a copy of 3DC 6.5 and install it. I got the same error as before and than I tried something different. I opened the one of the media files, which started 3DC. The program started and I was able to see the screen. I still got the JET database error and when I clicked OK the program closed.

I couldn’t find any MDB files in the 3DC folder tree so I don’t know what JET is complaing about. The only database file I found was the lock file in the MediaObjects folder.

Hi Frank,

3078 means ‘The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query’

I suspect 3DC is using a ‘default’ file somewhere that creates a new blank scene. This may be corrupted or has been upgraded to a wrong version.

I would uninstall once more, then make sure the 3DC folder is completely deleted from program files.
Also a good idea to remove the 3DC folder that is created under My Documents
Then re-install.

No dice. I even went as far as deleting all references to 3DC in the registry. Still getting error 3078.

I’m trying version 7.0.1 now. Maybe I’ll have better luck.

I’m getting error 3078 with every version except the latest from Amabilis. The 7.1.1.2 version works fine, but I cannot get it to load the Pro download link. It accepts my license but there is no change to the Help Menu.
