Copy and pasting many objects

I am making a model and it has a radiator which has slats all along it. I have made one slat and want to duplicate it many times, 32 in all! When I copy and paste it the slat is pasted to somewhere a long way from the model, I the have to drag and drop in the correct place, this takes a long time. Is there anyway I can paste it 30 times off set each time by x distance along a particular axis? or something with a similar outcome?

There’s a clone tool on the right menu bar.

It lets you select number of clones and offsets (or rotational offsets)

That did the trick for a similar radiator I had to make.
