Considering a few changes: Feed Back

…assume this applies to 3DC 8.

Don’t know when this was decided as there are no year’s date of the posts.

I am shocked.
No more layers in Copy/Paste
No more layers in Duplicate Objects.
No more layers in Components Library.
No more layers in importing Objects in Library.

We can save the object as .3DC
But no way to import the shape containing layers in the current opened document.

Thus now impossible to duplicate layers of one object to modify the shape or change the textures, etc… to create another.

3DC as it is now is useless for development of a series of tracks, embankments, etc…

Back to 7.2.0.

Sorry to have to say this:
I have spend $40 to upgrade to a program I cannot use components library, copy or duplicate layers as before.

Could we have at least a Copy/Paste including layers?

If you feel my way, post please to have this change.

I don’t know if there is actually a relationship with the copy / paste changes, but one very important upgrade is that undo/redo works for plug-ins and scripts.

cannot access to primitive options on a duplicate object
(discussion w/ Amabilis support).

We cannot have access to primitives that are displayed on the Shape Layers Panel when a primitive is selected because we don’t have those shape layers.

It seems Amabilis don’t seems to want to re-implement this.

I dropped the preservation of layers over copy/paste and in libraries for performance and other technical reasons. Sorry, there’s no going back. At least not in the forseeable future.

I should note that I don’t read all forum posts because I simply don’t have time.
