Comparison

Generally 6.5 is much faster which is why 6.6 hasn’t become the ‘main’ release of 3DC. On my main computer (ATI 9800 Pro 6.6) is plenty fast enough, but on my test computer (early NVIDIA card) it is very noticably slower.

I’ve only just noticed that 3DC 6.5 is alot smoother than 6.6. Should this be the case? The more I skinned my model in 6.6, it did get a bit sluggish. But when I loaded the same file into 6.5 I was able to zoom and move around the scene very quickly. The lighting seems to be different too. Has anybody else noticed this or is it just me. <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>

I’m still using 6.5.
Like yourself I found 6.6 very slow when trying to move around the scene but my scenes tend to be on the large size.
I didn’t find any diffrence for general work or any change to the lighting.
