Character head

unfortunately I’m gonna have to finnish this model in another app.. v7 is giving me an error 0.. and I’ve uninstalled and re-installed a few times… <!– s:( –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!– s:( –>.. I was enjoying it up to this point…

I will post a screenie of how it turns out though… and kepp trying with 3DC to I suppose.. as I enjoy using it.

Hi all,.. I’m just having a go at modeling a character in 3DC.. if it works/turns out well I’ll do a tutorial on it.

I should have another update soon.

got another bit done.. almost finished this part of the model now.. there’s a little bit of tweaking and that should do it.. I will also be reducing the poly count so it will be suitable for a game environment.

I am curious how you are adding geometry to the edge of the model as you move down into the torso. Are you using the extrude tool or dividing edges etc?

Yes… I am extruding the edges and then re-selecting that new edge/s and placing accordingly.

This is a good way to get a nice flow/form onto the model

moving around to the front now…
with the next update I will give out the poly count that it’s at so far.

… just finishing the bottom of the torso.. front and back… I’ve also finished under the arm, this is a very tricky spot.. there’ll be a bit of tweaking to do there aswell to get it to look right.. started of the arms.. moving back to them later.

poly count… 6,700 tris
