Make torpedo tubes one and two ready in all respects…

Nice work – sir… So what are you using all the ship models for – to sit on a shelf ???

Regardsm
Scott

Hopefully for tabletop wargaming eventually but they do look good on a shelf <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>

Those tubes are not torpedos – they’re massive missile launchers for sinking US aircraft carriers!

There’s a whole community of people out there who collect these things too.

To get these things to &quot;print&quot; all objects in the model must be manifold – does anyone remember the shadow models required for Rail Sim?
No deleting hidden polys here.

Hi Paul,

LOL – I did realize they were missle tubes – the &quot;torpedo tube&quot; comment was from the perspective of a US Submariner – to prevent said launch against a US Carrier – not that I’ve ever seen a Soviet warship in the crosshairs of our periscope…

I miss the simpler times of the Cold War…

Really nice work and that 3D printing looks incredible…

Scott

Finally finished it – 57,000 polys!

I posted it to Shapeways along with a double version (114,000 polys) to make it marginally cheaper per unit – still about $40 to print one, it’s about 6″ long
