Thanks for the response, but I am aware of how to chage the ambient light from black to white.
What the question was is how can you make the ambient light white by default – so you don’t have to change it?
Is there a way for the ambient light color to use white instead of black for the default setting? Every time I start a new scene, I have to change its properties from black to white to properly illuminate the scene.

sorry for that. I‘m afraid this cannot be changed, I tried to do this, but the only choice is the Scene background color, not for Ambient light.
Currently there are no scene default settings – you could create an empty scene set as you like then load it to start a new project (remembering first to save it with a new name)
